The International Crisis Group seeks a motived individual to support our Washington, DC team’s advocacy and research activities.
Our office, which engages the full range of Washington-based foreign policy actors and influencers – including the Administration, Congress, media, think-tanks, diplomatic community, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) – aims to track, analyze, and influence the U.S. policymaking process. The position will conduct DC-specific research on relevant geographic regions, help prepare advocacy materials and backgrounders, cover foreign policy-focused events with/on behalf of Crisis Group, prepare summary research notes and updates, track key appointments in the Admin and Hill committee assignments, provide administrative assistance to the DC staff, and perform other duties as required.
While advocacy interns can expect to make use of relevant geographically-based experience or expertise, duties will span the needs of the office, as well as respond to specific requests from an array of field-based colleagues on as-needed basis.
Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. No calls or emails please.
