Crisis Group is seeking a volunteer to support its London Private Sector Initiatives team in all fundraising activities related to corporations, individuals, and family foundations. The volunteer will also have the opportunity to coordinate closely with the New York events team in the planning, delivery, and follow-up of key high-level donor events in London. As part of a small and friendly team, the volunteer will focus on research, events planning and administrative tasks, while offering an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a prestigious international NGO. The Fundraising & Events Volunteer will specifically gain insight into Crisis Group’s work to prevent wars and shape policies that build a more peaceful world.
The successful candidate will discover how an organisation approaches and cultivates high-level relationships with individuals and corporations. A significant portion of Crisis Group’s funding comes from private sector support and, as such, the Fundraising & Events Volunteer will be part of a small team that makes it possible for Crisis Group to continue its work on preventing and resolving deadly conflict worldwide.
The Fundraising and Events Volunteer will be working closely with the Head of Private Sector Development, Europe and support the other members of the London team. Weekly meetings will be held to discuss projects and review progress, and the volunteer will have the opportunity to interact with others across the organisation, particularly the wider Private Sector team and interns based in New York.

This position is for 6 months and can be undertaken either full-time or part-time to an agreed structure for a minimum of 3 full days per week.
Please note that this position is unpaid, however Crisis Group reimburses lunch and travel expenses incurred.
