Reporting to the IT Manager, who is based in Brussels, the IT Officer provides Information and Communication Technology (ICT) support to staff in the organisation who are spread across the world and administers and maintains ICT of the organization.
Provide ICT support to the staff members of Crisis Group including implementation of ICT, maintenance, first and second line support;
Manage the servers, backups, computers, laptops, printers, mobile phones, ICT resource needs of Crisis Group’s offices;
Purchase computer equipment and monitor inventory of Crisis Group;
Dealing with the administration of the Crisis Group Network and Applications;
Manage telecommunications needs;
Facilitate Audio/Video conferencing and organize training;
Manage coordination with external IT companies as required.
Experience with managing ICT and specifically with Google.
Ability to work independently in providing IT operation and support.
Responsible, shows initiative and able to prioritize tasks.
Hands-on, technical, with the necessary qualification skills to operate within the following technologies:
Microsoft technology (Server/client OS, Active Directory, Group Policies, MS Office, etc.)
Google G Suite
Backup technologies (Online storage, Synology, Amazon S3 / Glacier)
Remote administration and support (Windows servers and Users)
Networking / VLAN / Firewalls / WIFI Access points
Available to travel (regular travel required between New York and Washington DC offices) and permission to work in the US.
