Volunteer Intern, West Africa

Job description

The International Crisis Group’s West Africa Project is looking for a full-time voluntary intern to assist its project director and analysts in their daily activities. We are looking for someone to start in early March.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring political developments in West Africa via online sources;
  • Writing daily press roundups on countries covered by the project;

  • Other administrative tasks as may be required.

Requirements

  • Excellent writing, research and organisational skills;
  • Excellent ability to summarise information;
  • Fluency in verbal and written English and French; knowledge of other languages (among others Arabic, Hausa, Tamacheq, Portuguese) an asset,
  • Experience in office management, administration and event organising an asset;
