Purpose of the role:
The Executive Assistant to the President will provide the highest level of efficient and effective support to the Interim President and Vice President of Crisis Group. This includes scheduling, correspondence and travel arrangements, and planning support for the March 2022 board meeting in Doha.
Manage the President and Vice President’s diary, including scheduling appointments, meetings and speaking engagements, and make sure that the President has all relevant information and documents ahead of meetings;
Develop itineraries and arrange all travel, domestic and international, for the President and Vice President including: flights, other transport, accommodation and visas;
Manage the President’s financial details, including expenses & reimbursements;
Review and prioritise correspondence and draft selected presidential correspondence
Prepare relevant updates ;
Track briefing memos and development proposals that are pending approval from the Interim President and Vice President;
bookings of meeting spaces;
keeping close communication with attendees to make sure that accommodation and travel are booked according to their individual needs;
overseeing the booking of catering;
preparation of all information packages;
respond to participants’ needs during the event;
and other logistical duties related to the event.
Maintain a quality filing and communications systems for the Office of the President.
At least 7 years of relevant executive support experience, preferably in an international organisation;
An understanding and experience with international think tanks, NGOs, multilateral organisations, or government institutions is preferred;
Complete fluency in English, including strong writing skills ;
Strong organisational and communication skills, and a strong eye for detail;
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a demanding environment, and to prioritise tasks effectively.
