Crisis Group is offering a great learning opportunity to gain valuable fundraising experience in a high profile international NGO. The successful candidate will discover how an organisation approaches and cultivates relationships with institutional donors, including governments and multilateral organisations. They will learn how to identify and link governmental foreign policy or institutional thematic priorities with Crisis Group activities.
This is a volunteer position of 6 months starting in the first week of August 2021 with the Government and Multilateral Relations team in Crisis Group’s Brussels HQ.
We offer you learning on the job through:
Assisting the Government & Multilateral Team in the preparation of briefing notes, grant proposals and grant reports, and day-to-day grant and donor management.
Supporting the development of communication and grant monitoring tools and materials for internal and external purposes.
Providing administrative and logistical support to periodic external events (such as policy seminars and workshops) organised with Crisis Group’s donors, where needed.
Providing administrative support to the Team, including enhancing and maintaining donor filing systems.
This volunteer position will suit recent undergraduate/post-graduate individuals interested in acquiring a practical and administrative overview of institutional fundraising. Candidates will need good organization, communication and interpersonal skills, keen to take the initiative and collaborate in a team. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced diverse environment are key for this learning opportunity. Candidates will need excellent English language skills (written and verbal) and fluency in other European languages is a strong advantage .
The Government and Multilateral Relations team is based in Brussels and it would be great to have a volunteer who is already in Belgium. However, we are open to consider remote work.
